PHYSICAL PROCESSES OF INTERACTION OF NATURAL AND TECHNICAL SYSTEMS WITH OPEN PIT MINING OF MINERALS

The results of a comparative assessment of the dangerous of the impact of a quarry on the resources of the atmosphere and the soil cover of the adjacent territories are presented. As an example, data were used for one of the annual periods of operation of the Lebedinsky iron ore quarry. The obtained results show that with the distance from the center of the mining outlet, consumption, both the air and soil resources, decreases. In the nearest territories within a radius of about 9 km, the consumption of soil cover is more dangerous, and emissions into the atmosphere become more dangerous with removal. In general, the boundary of the stationary state of the system when exposed to the soil cover is at a distance of about 13 km, and the atmosphere is about 16 km. The greatest danger to the atmosphere of the adjacent areas is the dusting of the dumps. Less dangerous blasting and transport. The greatest danger to the soil cover is the career excavation itself, as well as the dusting of dumps and blasting operations. However, the magnitude of the hazard, for none of the components considered, does not reach the limit of the self-destruction threshold of the system, which is 10 %. Taking into account the fact that the impact of the quarry on the atmosphere ceases with the end of mining operations, except for the dusting of the surface of the dumps, and the load from the removal of the soil cover remains a constant factor, and during the operation the quarry will increase many times, it is necessary to pay special attention to the subsequent follow-up development of works on the reclamation of dumps and quarries.
