ON THE ROLE OF THE RESONANT PIECES IN SPECTRUM OF ATMOSPERIC MICROWAVE RADIATION IN FORMING RELATIONS BETWEEN HEAT FLUXES AT THE OCEAN SURFACE AND BRIGHTNESS TEMPERATURE |

The intercommunication between the «ocean–atmosphere» brightness temperature measured from satellites at millimeters and centimeters with the near-surface turbulent heat fl uxes in the synoptic range of time scales is analyzed. Special efforts are made to expose the role of the resonance pieces of the microwave spectrum in forming relations between brightness temperature and heat fl uxes. The results are obtained due to the idea of combaining the data of microwave radiometric measurements from the sensor SSM/I of the DMSP satellites with the data of vessel measurements.
