Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back MONITORING SEISMIC AND SYNOPTIC PROCESSES USING LOW-FREQUENCY HYDROACOUSTIC SYSTEMS M.V. Mironenko, A.E. Malashenko The multi-year seismic research in the Okhotsk Sea region as well as in the north-western part of the Pacifi c and the Kuril Islands is summed up and analyzed. The methodological recommendations on measuring hydrophysical and geophysical fi elds to predict strong earthquakes are analyzed. Practical ways to construct and operate the integrated system capable of forecasting strong earthquakes and warning the population, coastal and marine engineering objects are substantiated.
