Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back NATURAL HAZARD IMPACTS ON TRANSPORTATION: EXPERIENCE OF THE DATABASE ANALYSIS E.G. Petrova The paper considers impacts of unfavorable and hazardous natural processes and phenomena on transportation. Using the information collected by the author in the database of technological and natural-technological accidents, the contribution of various natural factors to railway, road, air, and water transport accidents and delay of transportation is assessed. The total risk of transport accidents and delay of rail, road and air transportation caused by adverse and hazardous natural impacts was assessed for the area of Russia.
