MONITORING THE QUALITY OF ATMOSPHERIC AIR OF AN INDUSTRIAL CITY IN REAL TIME USING AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM USING THE EXAMPLE OF THE CITY OF UST-KAMENOGORSK (KAZAKHSTAN) |

Automated environmental monitoring systems are installed for operational monitoring of the quality of atmospheric air, modeling of pollution, taking into account local meteorological, topographical and other conditions and timely forecasting of excess of permissible levels of pollution in large industrial cities of the world. In Russia, air quality monitoring is carried out by Roshydromet, air samples are taken for absorption devices at stationary monitoring posts and the content of impurities is monitored. This data is not enough either to describe the current state of atmospheric air, or to simulate local atmospheric pollution. Currently, in certain cities of the Russian Federation, automatic atmospheric air monitoring stations are being implemented, consisting of a measuring complex, a system for processing and transmitting primary data obtained from measuring instruments, and a database. In Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan), a regional automated information system for industrial and environmental monitoring (RAISIEM) is used to monitor the content of pollutants in the air, providing parties concerned with current information on the content of pollutants in the atmosphere, the level of water in the river, the equivalent dose rate y-radiation and meteorological parameters.
