BOTTOM DEFORMATION UNDER LONG WAVE ACTION IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE IMAMURA TWO-LAYER MODEL |

Sea bottom deformations under the long wave action in the shallow basin are analyzed. Sediment layer is assumed to be heavy and think, and water layer is ideal fluid. Mathematical model is based on the two-layer shallow-water theory developed by Imamura. Dispersion curves for wave disturbances are found. The relation between seawater displacement and sediment thickness is determined. The influence of the viscosity effects on sea bottom deformation under the long wave action is studied.
