ESTIMATE OF SPATIAL CHANGING OF NOISE LEVEL IN THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT |

Article is devoted to assessment of spatial changing of noise level in the urban environment. The motor transport is the main source of noise in the cities, which influence on the inhabited territories located near highways. Distribution of noise is caused by intensity of motor transport, distance from noise source, and also noise-attenuating properties of surface. It’s given the analysis of noise distribution on the territory of the administrative district of Moscow. It’s based on the data of instrumental measurements applied on a cartographic basis. For researching it was taken three seasonal periods with various noise-attenuating conditions: summer, winter and interseasonal (fall, spring). Measurements of noise were fixed within year, in the period of the greatest intensity transport stream in the working days. It was made grid of 863 points covered all territory with step of 100 m. The received data are divided according limited levels on four categories of noise level: insignificant, average, high and critical. The optimum situation is noted during the summer period – the vegetation decreases noise distribution; during the interseasonal period situation is the worst – the lack of vegetation and snow cover leads to considerable distribution to noise. Average annual data fix significant noise influence on noise levels along the main highways. Spatial-temporary analysis of noise level distribution needs in complex environmental researching of quality of urban territory.
