Kostenko The analysis of historical data of the tsunami that registered on the Sakhalin Island is carried out. The sources of tsunami generation flooded the certain zones of the coast are determined. Tsunamis having the strong influence on coastal infrastructure of Sakhalin Island are analyzed. The necessity of numerical simulations to identify the features of the tsunami on the coast of the Sakhalin Island is demonstrated.
