Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back INFLUENCE OF WAVE IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENTAL STATE OF TUNAICHA LAKE (SAKHALIN ISLAND) A.A. Moskvitin, A.I. Zaytsev, M.Yu. Shibaeva, L.S. Shabramova The ecological problems of Lake Tunaicha are caused by the lack of ventilation of its bottom water layers by the cold waters of the Sea of Okhotsk, the presence of which is necessary for the preservation of bioformation and ecological balance in the waters of the lake. The main reason for this situation is the shallowing of the Krasnoarmeisky Strait, which connects the lake with the Mordvinov Bay (Sea of Okhotsk). An analysis of conducted numerical experiments shown the increase of force wave characteristics on the coast southto the Krasnoarmeyskiy Strait when a wave moves from the north.
