ABOUT THE INFLUENCE OF CONVECTIVE GRAVITATIONAL FLOWS ON THE OUTPUT OF METHANE SIPS ON THE SURFACE OF THE LAPTEV SEA DURING THE AUTUMN COOLING |

The data of observations on the autumn convective lowering of surface waters deep into the sea, which mask the exits of methane seeps to the surface on the continental slope of the Laptev Sea, are presented. It is shown that the water flow along the slope scatters the gas jets, preventing them from rising to the surface in a concentrated form. However, high concentrations of methane sips are recorded in the atmosphere above the sea and acoustically at the bottom.
