Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back MANIFESTATION OF TSUNAMI IN THE ESTUARIES OF RIVERS ON THE COAST OF SAKHALIN ISLAND I.S. Kostenko The article considers cases of tsunami manifestations on the south-western coast of the Sakhalin Island. The main attention was paid to tsunami waves at the estuaries of rivers. The analysis of the manifestation of the Moneron Tsunami of 05(06).09.1971 and the Nevelsk Tsunami of 02.08.2007 on the coast under consideration is carried out. Due to the numerical simulation of these events, the possibility of the appearance of tsunami waves in various rivers of the coast is showed.
