Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back MONITORING METHANOL CONCENTRATIONS IN SNOW ON THE TERRITORY OF THE CITY OF KHANTY-MANSIYSK D.S. Nekhorosheva, H.B.o. Tagi-zade, A.V. Nekhorosheva, S.V. Nekhoroshev The presence of methanol in the environment of cities, in an amount that prevails, with the exception of methane, all volatile organic compounds located in the middle and upper troposphere, which implies the need for research and monitoring work in order to control it and reduce the negative impact on the environment and human health. As a result of the monitoring, it was found that in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk during the winter season methanol accumulates in the snow, the concentration of which depends on the intensity of vehicle operation and can exceed the established MPC standard for fishery water by more than 20 times.
