The appearance of highly toxic dioxins in the environment is due to the development of various technologies and is mainly associated
with the production and use of organochlorine compounds and the disposal of their waste. The purpose of the presented work is to
study the behavior of tetrachlorodibenzene-p-dioxin when heated in a nitrogen atmosphere using thermodynamic modeling for the
development of new technologies. It has been shown that an increase in the nitrogen content in the system leads to an increase in the
concentration of nitrogen in the gas phase over the entire temperature range and, accordingly, to a decrease in the concentration
of dioxin and other compounds, as well as a decrease in the concentration and temperature for the maximum possible content of
substances; at the same time, the temperature of thermal decomposition of dioxin decreases.
Keywords: thermodynamic modeling, dioxins, nitrogen, maximum concentration, temperature range.
