Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back The Value of Viscosity for the Production of Secondary Raw Materials from Polymer Waste. Saving Energy Consumption Zubtsov V.I., Parfenova L.M., Lazarenko О.V. The paper proposes a method and a device for estimating the viscosity of solidifying materials based on the obtained dependence of the electric motor shaft torque on the amount of power consumed by it from the electric network using the passport characteristics of this electric motor. The results of measurements of torques of rotation obtained on melts of different polymers are given. It is shown how to program the device in viscosity units. The method and device are proposed to be used for obtaining secondary raw materials from polymer waste, also the energy installation for saving the consumed electricity is proposed.
