Assessment of Resistance of Cruciferous Plants
to the Drug Mexidol in Aqueous Environment |
Garanina D.E., Trifonova T.A.
The results of the study of the effect of the drug mexidol on cruciferous plants by biotesting in distilled and tap water in
the range of its concentrations 0.01–100 mg/dm3
are presented. It was found that mexidol predominantly inhibited growth
processes in seedlings of the used plants. The effects of stimulation of growth processes were observed in seedlings at low
concentrations mainly in radish. The effects of mexidol on the growth processes were evaluated by the values of the plant
organ biological activity (PBA) index by the ratio of root length (Lk
) and shoot height (Lp
) in the experiment to their values
in the control and by the plant growth correction index (PGI). . Dose-effect correlations of mexidol exposure
were studied.
Keywords: mexidol, biotesting, cruciferous plants, distilled and tap water, correlation.
