Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back Approaches to Estimation of Noise Infl uence at the Green Areas of the City Margolina I.L., Goretskaya A.G. Assessing the noise infl uence at the territory has become an important component of the comprehensive environmental study. Changing of noise infl uence depends on technical, natural and urban planning factors that determine its high spatiotemporal dynamics. This paper discusses the main approaches to assessing noise impact in green areas, based on different sources of information based on: fi eld measurements of noise levels, modeling of noise distribution, comparative assessment of noise sources and noise-absorbing properties of the territory. Using the territory of the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University as example, the possibilities of the assessment approach are demonstrated. This approach makes it possible to assess the spatial change in noise impact in green areas of the city, based on the offered indicator of noise comfort. It’s zoned the territory of the Botanical Garden, the most and the least comfortable areas were identifi ed in terms of noise comfort.
