Forecasting Adverse Meteorological Phenomena
in the Wind Farm Area Using Neural Networks |

The paper presents an approach to forecasting meteorological phenomena in the wind farm area based on data from fi fteen
weather stations surrounding the wind farm from all cardinal directions at a distance of up to three hundred kilometers. The
developed approaches and forecasting methods will make it possible to classify precipitation and fi ll the analytical module
for decision-making on the automated application of control actions (introduction of moisture concentrator injections) in
order to protect wind farms. Using the Statistica system, an artifi cial neural network with a multilayer perceptron model was
built, optimized during training on a test sample to perform forecasting tasks. During the process of training and optimizing
the neural network, it was possible to obtain model quality indicators suffi cient to solve the problem.
