This work collects and summarizes the most complete and reliable data on mudfl ow processes within the Susunai range. On the basis of the collected and analyzed materials, the features of mudfl ow processes in the territory of the YuzhnoSakhalinsk urban district were determined; information about historical mudfl ows and mudslide disasters were collected and analyzed by direct and indirect signs; correlation dependences of historical mudfl ows on mudfl ow-forming factors with spatial and temporal cyclicity were determined; based on information about historical mudfl ows and established correlation dependencies, the mudfl ow regime of the territory is determined.
