Development of the Composition and Methodology for Collecting Geophysical Parameters of the Earth's Surface at Test Sites for Conducting Research on the Development of Landslide Processes using Remote Sensing Images on the Example of Sakhalin
Rybalchenko S.V., Moskvitin A.A.

Using the example of the territory of Sakhalin Island, the methodology for selecting test sites for performing subsatellite
observations in the study of the development of landslide processes according to remote sensing data, as well as the composition
and methodology for collecting geophysical parameters of the Earth's surface in test sites is presented. For two representative
test sites, during fi eld work, the main decoding signs and indicators of the factors of the landslide process were identifi ed,
the geophysical parameters of the underlying surface, qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the studied landslide
process at the test site were determined, including geographical parameters (geographical coordinates, absolute height and
exposure); geomorphological parameters (dimensions of the landslide array, relative heights and the slope of the territory);
geobotanical parameters (forested area, productivity of phytocenoses, presence of soil and vegetation cover); hydrological
parameters (presence of water occurrences and distance to water bodies); qualitative parameters of the landslide process
(presence of dimensions and position of specifi c elements of the landslide relief), determined by instrumental and expert
methods, and comparable with representative remote sensing data from open sources. The main results of fi eld research
during the expedition showed the possibility of obtaining representative data sets on subject-specifi c features and spectral
characteristics of sites located in landslide areas.
Keywords: landslide hazard, transition zone, geospatial position, landslide process, decryption feature, test site.
