When analyzing the records of the laser strainmeter, it was found that, taking into account the increase in the distance from the place of generation of the deformation anomaly caused by movements of the seabed in the epicenter of earthquakes leading to the formation of tsunamis to the location of the laser strainmeter, the angle between the conditional continuation of the recording before the deformation jump and the averaged line drawn along the deformation jump decreases with distance.
