Verification of On-Board Remote Sensing Survey
Equipment in the Study of Landslide Processes,
for Example, o. Sakhalin |
Leonenkov R.V., Rybalchenko S.V., Shabramova L.S.
Landslide processes are widespread on the territory of Sakhalin Island, while the peculiarities of the transport infrastructure
and the inaccessibility of some settlements make the DDZ almost the only way to monitor and early warn such dangerous
natural phenomena. During the review, a signifi cant number of spacecraft have been found and presented that have been
collecting remote sensing data for decades, which can be used to monitor landslide processes. However, despite the signifi cant
amounts of such data and the many algorithms for evaluating them, there is always a problem of verifying the result. In this
regard, only the availability of a suffi cient number of control and calibration polygons with an understandable structure
of reliable control and calibration data can help solve it. Within the framework of this article, a verifi cation complex of
promising on-board remote sensing survey equipment is presented, which, using the example of landslide processes on
Sakhalin Island, represents a mechanism that takes into account both accumulated remote sensing data and data obtained
at test sites in the traditional way.
Keywords: remote sensing, processing methods, landslide hazard, landslide process, decryption feature, test site.
