Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back BRIEF HISTORICAL OVERVIEW OF LABORATORY SETUPS FOR MODELING SNOWDRIFT TRANSPORT M.S. Sergeev In this study, a concise analysis of laboratory setups designed for the investigation of snowdrift transport across various countries is presented. Some of these setups were initially employed to study the laws of sand or soil transport but have significantly influenced the understanding of snow transport mechanisms. A comparative analysis of the dimensions of different setups is provided, and several contemporary research objectives are described. The author proposes a promising approach involving the use of portable laboratory setups, originally developed for studying sand and soil transport characteristics, to investigate snow transport phenomena.
