In this paper, the features of obtaining high-purity gallium from waste from the electrical and electronic industries are considered. The general technological scheme for obtaining gallium from secondary raw materials is described. A comparative calculation of the production of gallium from waste products of bauxite, lanthanum gallium compounds and waste of liquid-phase epitaxy, and defective crystals and plates of gallium arsenide was carried out. It is concluded that obtaining gallium from electronic waste is a promising resource-saving technology.
