The article is the second part, containing systematized information on recycling technologies providing for returning
valuable components of metal-containing waste into the economic cycle. A sequence of independent technological solutions
opening opportunities for solving circular economy tasks, allows to compare specifi c characteristics and effectiveness of each
technology as well as details and peculiarities of key processes. Authors demonstrate that main sources of rare and rare-earth
elements (REE) include phosphor-gypsum (REE, Sr); power plant ash (REE, Ti, Sc); metallurgical slag (Ge, Be, Se, Te, V);
sulfuric acid production dust (Se, Te); alumina production waste – red mud (Sc, REE); liquid waste of TiO2
production by
sulfate technology (Sc, Ti); refi ning fumes and dust (Se, Te); permanent magnet production waste (Nd, Sm). It is emphasized
that the use of benefi ciation methods, acid degradation (extraction), ion-selective concentration, biotechnological methods,
electrolysis, thermal treatment as well as combinations of various techniques. To assess the quality of technogenic raw
materials and its usefulness for complex treatment, the analytical analysis methodology of patented technologies is applied
(technological samples were collected at real technological mineral assets).
