Monitoring and Assessment of the Quality
of Water Resources in the Vladimir Region |
Zuev D.A., Bulkin V.V.
The Vladimir Region's water resources are experiencing significant anthropogenic stress, which necessitates an effective monitoring
system and an objective assessment of their quality. Based on data from the state observation network for 2024, the article analyzes
the organization of monitoring of surface waters, as well as an assessment of their qualitative state. It was found that of the
17 surveyed surface water channels, 15 are classified as "dirty" and "extremely dirty". The main pollutants are total iron (exceeding
up to 49 MPC), ammonium nitrogen (up to 16 MPC), copper (up to 32 MPC), and organic substances. Shortcomings of the
monitoring system have been identified: reduction of stationary observation posts, restrictions on the implementation of planned
control measures. The directions of improving the system of monitoring and assessment of the quality of water resources in the
region are proposed.
Keywords: monitoring, water resources, surface water, water quality, national observation network.
