The questions related to the problems of environment pollution due to the long-range transport of pollutants were analyzed. The possibilities of present systems for environment monitoring to solve these problems are characterized. The role of mathematical modelling approach in the formation of spatial distribution of pollutants basing on the non-regular observations was shown.
