A process of the shock wave interaction with the forest fuel pyrolysis products (CO, CH4, H2, C2H6 and the others), was experimentally investigated in the shock pipe. The concentration and the composition of the pyrolysis products and also the methods of initiating the shock waves varied. The possibility of enhancing the shock wave intensity up to 26 percent at the expense of increasing the pyrolysis product concentration were proved.
