The analysis of the experimental data, obtained during the first operation cycle of the VVER-1000 pile at Volgodonskaya NPP, and experimental-industrial operation of the automated spectrometer SEG-19R included in the system for complex monitoring of the NPP stack effluents are given. These data prove the necessity and the possibility of reference radiometry of critically important, the most radiotoxic nuclides (iodine-131), using the argon-41 peak as a reference mark.
