The process of oil patch collecting from a water surface by slowly rotating drum at a creeping regime of flow on its surface is considered. Two cases of oil film capture by a moving surface (upwards and downwards entrainment) are investigated. The analysis of the work of drum collector with the maximum performance is carried out on the basis of the obtained decisions for distribution of film thickness on a drum surface.
