Instrumental observations of variability hydrophysical regime of the middle caspian in july 2008 |

Researches of spatial variability of hydrophysical parametres were carried out in the western part of Average Caspian sea in second half of July, 2008. Observations methods included: implementation of the regular stations CTD-sensing and towing an acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) to obtain quasi-instantaneous flow profiles. It was found that in late July in the western part of the Middle Caspian hydrological vertical structure of water has a distinct two-layered character. Above and below the thermocline speed and direction are heterogeneous and differ as to the direction and intensity. The coastal area The western part of the Caspian Sea was instrumentally detected local upwelling, as observed in temperature characteristics on the sea surface obtained from satellite data AQUA. There was a complex, fluid system of jet streams, separated by the thermocline. There had been a whirlwind in the coastal area. Mesoscale eddies area recorded in the coastal.
