An application of technology of flexible information-modeling systems for diagnostics of the forests |

Forest ecosystem is considered as complex many-tier medium the study of which characteristics is proposed to realize by means of the synthesis of information-modeling system based on the combined use of geographic information system technology and model of forest biogeocenose functioning. To realize this approach, the method for the combination of database, models and series of operative measurements with the use of microwave remote monitoring. Scheme of laboratory system id described to be used for measurement of attenuation characteristics for microwave radiation propagation across the forest canopy. An example of attenuation calculation for different forest canopies is given for microwave range.
