Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back ECOLOGICALLY SAFE PACKAGING BASED ON PROTEINS G.H. Kudryakova, S.A. Yankovsky, N.N. Roeva, S.S. Voronich, D.A. Zaytsev A literary analysis of different types of films and coatings shows that in the hands of materials scientists there is already a wide arsenal of substances that can qualitatively change the type of consumed products and reduce the volume of discarded waste, at least through biodegradation. The public is worried about environmental problems, the prices of oil are rising and, consequently, the cost of packaging from fossil raw materials, so replacing hydrocarbon plastics with biodegradable packaging is a matter of time. When you create it, you need to remember that the polymer material should not interact with the product, change its quality, creating dangerous environments. In addition, it is necessary to take into account the terms of implementation, the conditions for storage and transportation of the goods, as well as the conditions and term for the decomposition of biopolymer packaging. To maintain the original quality of food products, biopolymer packaging, as well as the usual one, should have a set of optimal properties: to have suffi cient mechanical strength, tightness, chemical resistance, to have optimal parameters of barrier properties: aromatic permeability, permeability to gases, water, vapors and fats.
