Ecological Systems and Devices Annotation << Back PROBLEMS OF RECLAMATION OF THE TERRITORY OF SKI COMPLEXES ON THE EXAMPLE OF STK «MOUNTAIN AIR» S.V. Rybalchenko The construction of ski complexes is accompanied by deforestation and the reduction of soil and vegetation cover, which leads to the activation and development of dangerous exogenous processes (planar and linear erosion, debris-flow, landslide and avalanche processes). The problem of reclamation of disturbed lands during the construction of facilities for ski complexes is considered on the example of STK «Mountain Air». The implemented methods of reclamation, their features and disadvantages in mountainous terrain are shown. Technical reclamation measures carried out on the territory of STK «Mountain Air» have a positive result in preventing the activation of hazardous water-gravity and fluvial processes. However, in some cases, they require adjustments and revisions during operation due to the difficult conditions of the construction site. Biological reclamation activities demonstrate efficiency, even against the background of engineering protection measures, but they are often carried out without taking into account the regional characteristics of the construction area.
