The change of climate conditions in the North Atlantic caused by global warming resulted in valuable changes of conditions of phytoplankton community development in this region. In this work the data about environment changes and the changes of the main characteristic features of phytocene in the North and Norwegian seas are compared. The detailed analysis of the temperature trends in the North Atlantic surface water over a period of 1948–1999 showed that the warming process is not common feather for North Atlantic and Northern European seas.
